The British Kempo Society (BKS) is an international Brother and Sisterhood within Martial Arts systems of Kempo/Kenpo.

We welcome all styles, instructors and practitioners as members and our goal is to make Your membership an interesting, learning and growing experience!

The BKS was initially founded by a group of small, independent, like-minded clubs, who had become restricted with what they could provide their students on their own.

The idea was to bring together their collective experience and skills to enable progression for themselves and their students.

The BKS provides the support a small club needs, without interfering with syllabus, or any other club practice.

The BKS meet on a regular basis, to share ideas, skills and techniques.

The BKS assists member clubs by providing:

· Recognition of their Dan grades                                                        (Upon assessment from a large panel of other, like minded, Dan grades)

· Assist with the assessment of higher-grade students                   (Based on the  member clubs’ own syllabus)

· A large skill base to help with seminars/courses

· A place for the instructors to progress their own skill base, by learning from the other BKS instructors.

· A place to train whilst away from your usual club
